Digital OPG – Comparison of cash register data with NAV data

Are you unsure whether the cash register data submitted to the NAV matches the data transferred from the cash registers to the accounting system? I would like to know if there is any discrepancy between the data sent by the cash register and the recorded data. No resources to investigate discrepancies? If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, then we recommend our Digital OPG application as a solution.

It is becoming increasingly important for the NAV to receive accurate data from taxpayers, as it now conducts its audits based on data assets.

information, the NAV has determined the direction of its audits for 2024 by using the data assets at its disposal, targeted risk analysis and alignment with economic processes. The tax authority selects the type of audit depending on the behaviour of taxpayers. Special attention is paid to ensuring the accuracy of taxpayer data reports.

Within this framework, the tax authority checks, among other things, discrepancies between data from online cash registers and VAT returns. Unlike in the past, taxpayers who, for example, provide incorrect data in the NAV OPG system or fail to provide cash register data at all can now expect not only a support procedure but also a fine and, in extreme cases, even criminal proceedings.

In cooperation with our company’s tax and IT experts, we have developed a Windows-based application that can be run on multiple computers. It compares the taxpayer’s online cash register data with the data submitted to the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) and highlights any discrepancies. This enables the company to detect any system-level errors in data reporting, which, if discovered during a NAV audit, could lead to tax deficiencies being identified and fines being imposed.
