VAT Checker – tax number lookup made easy
Does your company regularly sell products to a Member State of the European Union? Are you having trouble checking the validity of domestic tax numbers on the tax office website? Do you see any risks in archiving queries?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, we recommend our service below.
If you regularly sell products to a Member State of the European Union, then the following website will be familiar to you.

In view of the changes to the VAT Act coming into force on 1 January 2020, we must pay close attention to the fact that our intra-Community sales of goods will only be tax-exempt if we have the buyer’s valid Community tax number at our disposal. In practical terms, this means that before each delivery, the certificate of validity must be requested and printed out or archived in some other way.
From 1 July 2020, data must be provided to the tax authority for all invoices where VAT is deducted, regardless of the amount. Before applying the deduction, it is advisable to check the partner’s tax number, as failure to do so may entail a risk in terms of VAT deduction, and from the second half of the year onwards, the issuer’s tax number will also be required for invoices involving small VAT deductions.
If we regularly check our partners’ tax numbers, the following page is not unfamiliar.

Of course, this task does not cause a significant additional workload if only one or two invoices are issued per month, but if the seller issues several hundred invoices per month, performing the queries takes a considerable amount of time, which detracts from other tasks with greater added value. Furthermore, tax risks may arise due to the improper archiving of the queries.
But have we ever considered how much hassle it is to query tax numbers one by one? How much risk is there in connection with tax numbers that may not have been queried? What are the risks associated with screenshots saved from the tax numbers queried?
If you use our solution, the above risks can be completely eliminated!
Our company has therefore developed software that allows you to query hundreds or even thousands of domestic and community tax numbers at once.
The application has numerous advantages:
- The query results are displayed in xlsx and pdf formats and include the name of the querying organisation, its community tax number, the date of the query,
- It is no longer necessary to manually archive queries one by one.
- The query also displays any invalid tax numbers in colour, thereby facilitating the work of users.
- For verification purposes, xls, xlsx, and csv databases can be used, or the tax numbers to be queried can be entered directly into the query interface.
- The application saves a considerable amount of time and completely eliminates the risks associated with tax number queries.
- the application is suitable for a specified or unlimited number of queries in a monthly or one-off fee structure,
- The software is also ideal for updating master data, saving up to several weeks of time.
- the software does not require any modifications to their current accounting programme,
- The software may even include a time stamp and electronic signature, which further enhances the security of the query.
So when is it worth using our application?
- if a large number of queries need to be performed in a short period of time,
- if there are insufficient human resources to execute the queries,
- if query archiving has not been resolved,
- if we want to eliminate the risk arising from queries.
